The Professional Master of Science in Real Estate (PMRE) is a 16-month cohort program that meets two evenings a week, allowing the busy professional to continue their full-time careers while earning this fully-accredited master’s degree. It was designed by the Dr. P. Phillips School of Real Estate as a flagship graduate program that prepares students for senior positions in residential and commercial real estate brokerage and appraisal, development and mortgage brokerage. The inaugural class of the of the PMRE program will be initiated in June 2010.

The PMRE program is tailored for professionals with a minimum of two years work experience. Students go through the program together as a cohort, using their work experience to enhance discussion. The curriculum combines a unique business core consisting of finance, accounting and marketing courses with advanced coursework in real estate. Students will earn 30 credit hours during five sessions of the program and will be exposed to a variety of concepts and tools that will enhance their knowledge of the business and real estate disciplines.

All courses are taught by distinguished faculty who have a wealth of industry experience as well as excellent academic credentials and can easily relate theoretical learnings to current real estate challenges. Graduates of the PMRE program will be equipped with highly applicable knowledge that will help them realize their full potential and grow their careers in a variety of organizations. They will also be well-prepared to obtain Florida Real Estate brokerage and appraisal licenses.

The UCF Executive Development Center serves as the program facilitator and all classes are held at its downtown Orlando location. The EDC has dedicated staff members that provide excellent customer service and administrative support to make the program experience a very positive and enriching one.
