How do I join the UCF Alumni Association?
You can do this online by visiting www.ucfalumni.com.
How can I stay involved with the CBA?
When you join the UCF Alumni Association, you are automatically a member of the CBA Alumni Chapter. The chapter hosts a number of special events throughout the year including networking, social, and community service opportunities. We encourage all of our alumni to support these events. As a member of the alumni chapter, you may join the CBA alumni Chapter Executive Committee. The committee meets monthly at UCF Downtown and is responsible for planning chapter activities. For the most recent information on our events and meetings, just go to www.ucfalumni.com and click on the "Chapters and Clubs" button.
What is the Knights Network?
The Knights Network is your online source to connect with friends, network, join interest groups and use great online career resources. It's free and easy to use. Just go to ucfknightsnetwork.com to get started.
I just received a promotion. How can I share the news?
Submit your information on work, birth, wedding, work and other news to Pegasus Magazine, the official publication of the UCF Alumni Association. Please note that because of space constraints, members of the Alumni Association are given priority for listings. For more information, e-mail knights@ucfalumni.com .
I would like to nominate someone for the CBA Hall of Fame, what is the procedure?
Hall of Fame nominations are accepted throughout the year. For more information on the program, to nominate a CBA graduate or to learn about past inductees, contact Dr. Joanne Chive. Individuals nominated for induction into the Hall of Fame must be a CBA graduate and have:
- graduated at least 10 years prior to induction for those who hold an undergraduate degree, or at least 5 years prior for those who hold a graduate degree;
- achieved a significant senior-level career positions and
- made major contributions to his or her profession.
Is there a way CBA graduates can help CBA students?
Yes, there are several ways. We sometimes receive requests from student organizations requesting CBA alumni to speak at their events. Students are interested in receiving advice on careers and hearing about career opportunities. As a result, we have compiled a CBA Alumni Speaker's Bureau. If you are interested in joining the Speaker's Bureau, please contact Don Swift at (407) 823-2182. Also, our students are always eager to gain "real world" experience. If there are any career or internship opportunities available at your company, be sure to contact UCF Career Services at (407) 823-2361 or UCF Experiential Learning at (407) 823-2667.
How can I make a gift to the CBA?
The generosity of our alumni and friends of the college has been important to our success in offering our students a quality business education. There are a number of ways to support the college, including:
- the CBA Alumni Chapter Endowed Scholarship (which assists deserving CBA students)
- Annual gifts and pledges
- Planned gifts
- Gifts of life insurance and real estate
For more information on giving, contact Nancy Keon.
