William A. Long, Jr., '73, V.P. and C.F.O, Gold Coast Restaurants, Inc.
Prior to joining Gold Coast Restaurants, Inc. in 1999, Bill held a variety of financial positions. While serving as vice president and chief financial officer of Morgan Tire & Auto, Inc. (d.b.a. Don Olson Tire & Auto Centers) he helped the company grow from $80 million in total revenue to $500 million in revenue in just four years.
In Bill’s current position, he has developed a business plan and acquired venture capital and debt funding for this start-up chain to open its first location and acquire its franchisor. The company currently has 8 locations and the projected revenue for 2002 is $24,000,000.
Although Bill resides in Tampa, he is still active at UCF and is a member of the Dean’s Executive Council.
