Blaine Sweatt, '76, President, New Business Division, Darden Restaurants

Blaine SweattAs president of the New Business Division of Darden Restaurants, the nation’s largest casual dining company, Blaine is responsible for creating and testing new restaurant concepts for the corporation.  He has been with Darden Restaurants and its predecessor company General Mills for more than 20 years.  He started with Red Lobster in 1976 and since 1980 has led the company’s new concept development activities which resulted in the Olive Garden, China Coast, Bahama Breeze and Smokey Bones BBQ.  He is a member of the CBA Dean’s Executive Council.
