Welcome

Dear CBA Alums:

Monica Thorsen, chair of the CBA Alumni Chapter.Successfully completing the curriculum set out by the University of Central Florida is often about "what you know." Our mission at the College of Business Administration Alumni Chapter involves "who you know." Combining both philosophies can make for a well-rounded college experience that will last for a lifetime.

For our alumni, keeping up with the new developments on campus, athletics, and former classmates can be a challenge. Participating in your CBA Alumni Chapter offers you the opportunities to fulfill these needs. In addition to social, student and networking activities, the chapter holds an annual spring golf tournament for the purpose of raising funds for the College of Business Administration Alumni Chapter Scholarship created to assist deserving business students.

The CBA Alumni Chapter has grown into the largest college-based chapter at UCF. The college itself has also grown considerably, and now has more than 9,000 students pursuing majors such as accounting, economics, marketing and management. The college's programs continue to grow both in quality and quantity, and the Kenneth G. Dixon School of Accounting and the Dr. P. Phillips School of Real Estate have been established.

Your experience at UCF does not have to end at graduation. If you would like to take advantage of all that our chapter has to offer, please look over this alumni section or visit our webpage found on the Alumni Association Web site. You can also contact Don Swift, the college's Assistant Director of Development & Alumni Relations, at (407) 823-2182. Please note that we are always looking for new members to join our CBA Alumni Chapter Executive Committee, a group of dedicated alumni who plan and host events for the chapter.

Just let us know if you have an interest. We look forward to hearing from you!

Regards,

Monica Thorsen, '02
