Software Download Instructions
Use this method if you have fast internet access. More software is available using this method. This is the easiest way to get the software - no going to school to get and return CDs, and no waiting for the CDs being mailed to you. This method should not be used for dial-up users.
- Log into the MSDN AA - UCF MIS Software Center (login instructions andSoftware Center link)
- Select the software you want from the "Search by product titles" dropdown. Then click GO.
- Select the DOWNLOAD delivery option.
- Click the Add to Cart button. If you want to download other software click CONTINUE SHOPPING. Otherwise, click CHECK OUT.
- Fill in customer info if asked for it. Then click NEXT.
- Click on the software title and follow the directions on the next web page.
- Make sure to install the software when prompted during the download process. Some software programs require download of multiple disks.
- If you get an error, retry the download.
- If you download the software and it has an ISO extension you will need to extract the file. Download the Undisker software (has a free 30 day trial version). Extract the entire file and then run the setup utility in the extracted software directory (usually will be in the root location of the extraction location).
Software Purchase Instructions
Use this method if you want to have the CDs to keep. You will have to pay for the software and shipping & handling for a reduced price. The software will be mailed to you.
- Log into the MSDN AA - UCF MIS Software Center (login instructions andSoftware Center link).
- Click the picture for the desired software you'd like to order.
- Select Mail Order/Shipping delivery option.
- Click the Add to Cart button. If you want to download other software click CONTINUE SHOPPING. Otherwise, click CHECK OUT.
- Read the shipping information carefully.
- Enter your shipping and billing information. (Visa or MasterCard are accepted for payment)
- The software will be shipped directly to your door!
Software Checkout Instructions
Use this method if want to borrow the CDs from the MIS department office. This method is more inconvenient and time consuming than the other methods. Use this method as your last resort. You will have to borrow and return the software within a short amount of time.
- Log into the MSDN AA - UCF MIS Software Center (login instructions andSoftware Center link)
- Click the picture for the desired software you'd like to order.
- Select CD Check-Out option.
- Click the Add to Cart button. If you want to download other software click CONTINUE SHOPPING. Otherwise, click CHECK OUT.
- Pick up available software in BA1 325 during Checkout Times (see times below). You must borrow and return the software during the Checkout Times. These times may change during the semester or may not be available if MIS staff are out of the office. Bring your UCF photo ID (other IDs are not acceptable). Your ID will be left with the MIS Department during the checkout period. Upon return of software, the UCF photo ID will be returned to the student. Another person may not pick up your UCF ID.
- Software must be returned on the following day. Software checked out on Friday must be returned the following Monday.
Login Instructions
- Go to the MSDN AA - UCF MIS Software Center.
- Click the Log In button.
- Enter you user name and password. Then click the Log Me In button.
- Your user name is your email address as listed in MyUCF at the beginning of the semester.
- Keep your email information current in MyUCF in order to participate in this program. Update your email address during the first week of school.
- If you don't know your password, click either "Forgot Password" or the reminder for Login Help. If you have a spam blocker, allow email to be received from the @e-academy.com domain.
- Once logged in, you can change your password by clicking the My Profile button.
- If you email the MIS Department regarding login problems, include in your message the ISM course(s) (and section number) you are currently registered in.
- If you have not returned software or have been delinquent in returning software in the past, you will not be given login privileges.
- The department does NOT offer technical support. Instead, click the Support button in the Software Center.
- If you delete the email that contains the software keycode, just log into the MSDN AA - UCF MIS Software Center and click the "My Software" button.
- The My Software button gives you a record of the software you have ordered.
- The My Profile button changes the password you use to log in to the system.
