Financial Support
We give financial support to all accepted students. Currently, doctoral students receive 12-month compensation of approximately $20,000 in return for work as research assistants, teaching assistants, and instructors. Our impression is that this financial support is competitive with other doctoral programs in the country, especially after taking into account the cost of living in the Orlando area.
The assistantship expectations are 20 hours per week that may include teaching or work as a research assistant. The exact nature of your assignment may vary over time depending on your background and the current needs of the Finance Department. In addition, University graduate student travel scholarships and other support from the College or Department may be available to support presentations at academic meetings.
