Special Requirements

In addition to completing the university's General Education Program, the following special college and department requirements must be met:

• The finance major curriculum consists of a total of 24 semester hours in addition to FIN 3403. Students are required to earn a grade of "C" or better in FIN 3403 and all other classes taken toward the major and to have at least a 2.0 overall average.
• FIN 3403 (Business Finance) is a prerequisite to all finance courses except FIN 2100, REE 3043, and REE 3433.
• FIN 2100 (Personal Finance and Investments) is recommended for all finance majors.
• Students wanting to major in finance must apply for admission to the major.
• A transfer student to this program must take a minimum of twelve (12) semester hours in finance at the University of Central Florida.
