Semester Abroad for Undergraduate Business Students

Fall 2010 Semester Study Abroad Application is now available. Students in The Burnett Honors College must use the Honors application available on the Honors Web site. The application deadline for semester abroad is February 15, 2010.

Partner schools in Semester Study Abroad hold regional and AACSB and/or EQUIS business school accreditation. UCF students must pay UCF tuition, living expenses, and for their travel.  Participants can use financial aid, scholarships, and student loans to help cover the cost of these programs.  

Eligibility requirements:

  1. Business major (BA in Economics are eligible for Tilburg)
  2. Earned a grade of at least a B in common program prerequisites for Business majors
  3. Earned a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 at UCF
  4. Have attended UCF for at least two full semesters prior to the beginning of the semester abroad
  5. Satisfy all prerequisites

Students must be accepted into a specific program before being allowed to register for classes. Applications can be found on the College of Business Administration Web site.  UCF students must be registered for at least 12 credit hours during their semester abroad.

Programs:

  1. Tilburg University: The College of Business Administration Study Abroad in Tilburg, Netherlands is recommended for undergraduate economics, MIS and finance students, but is open to all business majors and BA majors in economics. All instruction is in English. Students can only study at Tilburg in Fall if they will also enroll at Tilburg in Spring. Tilburg is an IB Scholars participating program.
  2. IQS Universitat Ramon Llull: The College of Business Administration Study Abroad in Barcelona, Spain is recommended for finance, management and marketing majors, but is open to all business majors. Spanish-speaking marketing majors can only study at IQS in Fall if they will also enroll at IQS in Spring. English-speaking business students can only study at IQS during Spring term. All UCF students attending IQS are required to enroll in a six-week advanced intensive Spanish or Catalan language program. 
  3. ICN Business School, University of Nancy: The College of Business Administration Study Abroad in Nancy, France is recommended for undergraduate management, marketing and economics students, but is open to all business majors. All instruction is in English. Students can enroll in Fall and/or Spring terms. Students studying both terms can earn a BBA degree in international business; students studying Spring term can complete all requirements for the UCF minor in international business. ICN is an IB Scholars participating program.
